This new metropolitan center is a statement in scale and innovation. Merging the public and the private, it exemplifies social integration and advanced urban planning through place making. The project features a central axis and a sunken greenscape flowing from the south to the north green belt to meet the plaza between the library and the museum. Iconic performance and exhibition centers flank the sunken plaza to the north. The program then is divided into quadrants: Northeast, the Interactive and Technology District with street retail and subway connection; Northwest, the organic Residential Park includes retail and business apartments; Southeast, the Public Forum with retail and office towers; and Southwest, a busy Entertainment District features hotel and retail components with outdoor seating. Each quadrant is unique, while the overall development retains a unifying design language.
