One of the biggest problems currently is the decrease or extintion of pollinating insects, like bees, making beekeeping essential for the ecosystem. An urban furniture design was developed for the installation of boxes for 4 types of native bees that don’t sting, in combination with benches and information totems in different green spaces of the city. Through the simple and colourful design in combination with the landscape architecture, the project seeks to encourage the relationship between users and bees, symbolizing that these insects are not harmful. The design, created for the company Meliponas, aims to instal the urban furniture in 15 parks in Curitiba until the end of the year, in partnership with Curitiba's Town Hall.
