La Salle Academy in Iligan, Lanao del Norte was created as part of a medium term campus plan. Prior to its construction, prayers were held in the school gym or other open spaces in the campus. Construction was challenged during the Marawi siege as this part of Southern Philippines was hit by armed conflict.
Upon its first completion in 2019, Br Butch Alcudia FSC took his final vows and marked the opening of the house of prayer to the public.
By March of 2020, Covid 19 forced the shutdown of the school and subsequent closure of maintenance services resulting in rain damages. Minor adjustments were done in 2021-22 till the world opened up after the pandemic.
The chapel is once again open upon resumption of full face to face classes in La Salle Academy, Iligan.
