Refurbishment of a "tired-looking" mid century motel in the middle of Hollywood. The idea was to allow the identity created by the style of the hotel and the iconic googie signage to flow seamlessly through the hotel from the arrival point at reception through to the pool courtyard, the entrances to the guest rooms and into the guest room. The rooms were to be updated economically to allow the hotel to remain at the same price point but to have more a boutique status. These are some of the concept drawings. The projects is yet to be completed.
The general approach within the guest rooms is to give feel of the original mid-century motor hotel but with the simplicity and style today’s travellers desire.
