The Holiday House is located in an orchard, being inserted through the fruit trees. The client wanted a house close to nature. The accepted solution was of a wooden building with a small area on the ground floor (being surrounded by quinces) with a high and bright living room.
On the ground floor there are two entries, one with direct access to technical and bedroom space and the second entry, for guests, for the living space. The open floor has a common area used as a library and two bedrooms.
We opted for a home with minimal energy consumption, with a thermo-fireplace and photovoltaic panels for home heating, glass area is limited (the living area has large glass area, but it can be reduced with wood panels – panel canopies that may be pulled over the glass area).
The roof stretches on one facade, thus reducing construction costs and functions as a snow and rain water shield (ground is sloping).
