This family retreat house, located on a remote bend of the Biloxi river in Mississippi, was designed around its uniquely remote environment. The house became integrated into its surroundings by featuring passive energy systems and a minimal footprint. The interiors integrated the works of local crafts people and materials.
The main family living space is two stories with clerestory windows on all sides of the room, allowing for light to fill the space throughout the day.
