Hitachi Elevator Asia is a subsidiary of the Japanese multinational conglomerate company known as Hitachi Group. Kelvin & Frank Reid has been recently appointed to improve their existing space and holding area at Toh Guan East in Singapore. The objective of this project is to reinforce their leading position on the market with an innovative and modern design. Inspired by the technology of elevator and escalator engineering, our designers developed a showcase feature wall built on a metallic structure and designed with the escalator cleats shapes. The reception counter aims to reflect the red apostrophe of Hitachi’s tagline “inspire the next” which is enlarged and integrated into the sleek white counter. The colour palette of this project remains purposely minimalist to be aligned with the Japanese philosophy and Hitachi’ corporate guidelines. Linear movement have been also applied at selective areas to reflect their products and to convey a professional and sharp corporate image.
