The client wished for a construction that solves a multipurpose room to complement the main house located in Punta Chica, Victoria, suburb of San Fernando, located on the primary rim of Great Buenos Aires.
The lot of 3800m2 is perched on a privileged spot in the "canyon" that makes out the terrain of this section of the coast of the Rio de la Plata - river.
The definite location and it’s volume are subject to municipal regulations and a dividing wall of 6m, which is part of an existing neighboring construction. The construction is solved with walls and beams of reinforced concrete 15cm thick, thermal insulation of 5cm of expanded polystyrene and an interior wall of ceramic bricks of 8cm coated with cement plaster finish. The aluminum framework of the windows is located on the inner or outer edge of the wall according to its orientation and depending on the possible addition of awnings and internal curtains. The supporting enclosure is of a thickness of 34cm resolved within the spaces to house the vertical awnings. The upstairs mezzanine does not go all the way up to the perimeter wall and is suspended with wires from two transverse beams of the mezzanine structure.
