The expansion plan calls for the construction of a new 15-story hotel near the 40-year Hilton Hotel, with 395 guest rooms, two swimming pools, restaurants, and a spa. This building seeks to transform the urban skyline of Hollywood and Universal City, as well as to create a tourist attraction with a unique experience of IP content and unexpected imagination. The site is located on the Hollywood Mountain top between Universal City and Highway 101, with spectacular city vistas and a convenient transit point. The extension design adheres to the existing grid plan and employs a parallelogram floor plan to create a parallel arrangement that compliments the previous tower with a new hotel image facing Highway 101. The opening and closing dynamics of Los Angeles' city flower, "the Crane Hope Orchid," influenced the façade design. A dynamic grid façade is generated by the four-way alteration of a conventional unit frame, which perfectly expresses the cinematic texture and dreamy ambiance of Hollywood and the Dream Factory. The star-shaped pattern generated by the silver profiled-profile window apertures is not only a memory refinement of Universal Studios' famous movies but also a mapping of the star-studded Hollywood metropolis. A copper core of varied proportions is encased in a silver dynamic grid and made up of multiple modules — balconies, frames, and massive columns are all wrapped in copper plates, making the building feel warmer and more hospitable under the scorching sun. Taking the community and city growth into account, the project includes not only the enlargement of the hotel structure but also the rehabilitation of the public environment with sustainable tactics such as city friendliness and environmental green. Tourists will discover novelty, joy, and adventure with a full sense of vigor in the connection between nature and wealth.
