The latest project by Hila Israelevitz of Israelevitz Architects for a leading security company in the Sharon region is far more than a renovation of an executive floor. It is the creation of a sophisticated, emotionally intelligent workspace — a second home for the leadership team, a hospitality hub for visitors, and a communal environment that reflects the legacy, warmth, and strength of a long-standing family-run organization. The company, specializing in security, monitoring, and protection services, aimed to design a space that would honor decades of professional activity while representing the deep family spirit at its core. Israelevitz, who has accompanied the family over many years and designed both the CEO’s private residence and the home of her son, a senior executive, was the natural choice to lead the design vision for this flagship project.
Upon entering the executive floor, visitors encounter a striking reception area defined by a sculptural desk composed of three distinct elements: a warm travertine block, a natural oak segment, and a refined metallic frame. Together these form an art-like installation illuminated by a floating light fixture that sets the tone for the entire space. To the side stretches a delicate metallic screen that separates and connects simultaneously. Its geometric patterns, inspired by the company’s logo, create a sense of depth, transparency, and gentle movement, all while maintaining privacy within the public area.
Behind the reception area sits a dual-access storage unit that serves both the entrance and the lounge, forming the functional heart of the floor. Adjacent to it lies the formal boardroom, and directly across — a fully equipped fitness room for employees. The gym is one of the project’s most surprising and memorable elements. Outfitted with professional equipment and a warm wooden ceiling, it also includes a sculptural shower room clad in amorphous, nature-inspired surfaces. Custom cabinetry stores weights, pilates equipment, and technical gear, all integrated into the building’s communication systems. Glass walls maintain visual continuity between the gym and the lounge, reinforcing Israelevitz’s recurring theme of transparency and flow.
The lounge itself forms a social hub where daily interactions naturally unfold. At its center stands a fully operational kitchen designed for both everyday use and hospitality. A surrounding bar encourages spontaneous conversations and becomes a gathering point throughout the day. Thoughtful material choices, soft textures, and carefully managed lighting transitions create an atmosphere that moves effortlessly between work and relaxation — a balancing act that characterizes Israelevitz’s design approach.
Across from the lounge sits the boardroom, framed by a floating carpentry wall enclosed in glass. This creates a semi-transparent boundary that preserves privacy but still allows light to travel freely across the space. This interplay between visibility and enclosure appears throughout the project, creating a sense of openness without sacrificing functionality.
Even the restroom zone received a unique treatment. A concealed door leads into a surprising and playful space with a green ceiling and a black-white-green floor pattern that creates a subtle psychedelic effect. This unexpected design choice adds humor and character to what could easily have been a purely utilitarian area, demonstrating Israelevitz’s belief that every corner of a workplace can and should spark emotion.
The rooftop crowns the project with an expansive outdoor area featuring a full outdoor kitchen, multiple seating zones, and walls covered in original graffiti. The artwork narrates the company’s history: the first patrol vehicle, symbolic characters such as Wonder Woman paying tribute to the powerful female CEO, and additional motifs that together form a colorful, personal storytelling canvas. This outdoor space, like the entire project, is an expression of identity, legacy, and the company’s evolution.
What ultimately makes this project so compelling is the deep relationship between Hila Israelevitz and the company’s owners. After years of designing their private homes and earlier office spaces, the collaboration has matured into a partnership grounded in trust, intuition, and shared vision. The new executive offices are the culmination of that journey — a flagship environment that seamlessly blends elegance with comfort, professionalism with warmth, and architecture with personal narrative.
The result is a workspace that feels both elevated and familiar, both impressive and intimate — a place that truly reflects the people who lead the company and the values that define it. photographer - Oded Smadar
