One of the studio’s earliest projects, the first phase of Highlands was a 4000 square foot main house as well as front yard site and landscape design on a hillside property. Clean lines, a minimal material palette, and large windows frame views of the outdoor spaces beyond. Six years after completing the main house, we designed a spa building and rear yard landscape and hardscape. The placement of the spa building preserves the mountain view, while screening an unsightly neighboring home. The terraced gardens and outdoor living spaces create a variety of experiences for clients that want to feel as comfortable when alone as when hosting a party for 100 guests.
