To improve the size and quality of classroom and encore spaces, District 70 chose to demolish the aging front section of Highland and rebuild.
The addition follows a similar footprint as the former building, but increases classroom size and corridor width while relocating the main entry and office.
The addition includes 6 classrooms and administration, while renovated spaces include 4 classrooms,
4 science labs, 2 computer labs, art, and theater.
The materials of the front facade tie the addition to the existing school, and the new canopy provides both a visual focus and a defined entry point.
