Design Contest for high energy efficient building.
The Retrofitting and the renewal of an existing rural building has been the object of a recent design contest, with the aim to achieve a near zero energy building.
The building design is carried out using dynamic thermal models and advanced energy simulation tools. The building design is focused on energy saving and energy efficiency with the aim to achieve very high energy performances and high indoor comfort levels. Multiple strategies and technologies have been introduced. The project is characterized by the adoption of passive strategies, active and hybrid, involving the whole design solution.
