HIFILIFE is a holistic retail project developed in parallel with the brand’s identity creation process, aiming to transform sound into a spatial experience. The design journey began with the redefinition of the brand identity, which directly guided the architecture, spatial organization, and user experience. Shaped around the theme “Where Sound Meets Life,” the project approaches sound as a physical, emotional, and aesthetic component. Hifilife offers not just a shopping experience, but a comprehensive lifestyle encounter where music, design, and human interaction converge.
Located in Akasya Mall in Kadıköy, Istanbul, the 140-square-meter Hifilife store is the result of an integrated design process that began with redefining the brand identity and extended into the interior space. The project aims to translate the notion of high-fidelity sound into a spatial language and convey sound as an experiential value, aligned with the essence of the brand.
The design process began with the repositioning of the brand. Hifilife was redefined not merely as a store selling audio systems, but as a cultural hub where music becomes a way of life. This approach informed all design decisions — from logo and typography to spatial organization, material selection, and lighting design.
An open and transparent façade invites visitors inside, reflecting the brand’s approachable and welcoming character. A digital screen positioned at the entrance extends the brand’s energetic identity outward while creating a sense of visual continuity into the interior.
At the heart of the space lies the Hi-Fi Bar, which forms the focal point of user flow. This area blends social interaction with hands-on product experience. The surrounding zones allow users to explore technology through touch, listening, and feeling. Fluted glass panels refract light to evoke the vibrational quality of sound waves. The store’s signature element, the Brand Wall, is also located in this section — a dynamic stage reflecting the brand’s identity and energy, adaptable into an event or launch area when needed, adding vitality and fluidity to the space.
The material palette is composed to mirror the layered nature of sound. Aluminum panels provide balanced sound diffusion and visual depth with their reflective finish. Oak veneers on display surfaces add warmth, balancing the coolness of metal. Perforated metal ceiling panels and acoustic fabric systems control sound reflections, ensuring a clear acoustic environment.
The combination of handcrafted ceramic tiles and concrete textures on the walls brings a human scale to a technologically rich setting. In the listening rooms, wooden slats and felt panels enhance sound insulation while creating a warm, focused atmosphere. With its integrated approach to brand identity, interior architecture, and user experience, Hifilife Akasya is defined as a sensory living space that brings together sound, design, and human connection.
