An open green corridor in the backyards of the house, carves an intervention in the form of a Pavilion. It covers an area of 600 sqft. with multiple alternates to enjoy this space. The art and architecture correlates beautifully here for one to have playful activities, peaceful meditations, and informal interactions or relax hearing music in natural surroundings.
At times, its flexibility allows it to simply stand as an architectural element.
Free flowing forms and diverse material palette gives it a colorful appeal. This alcove let’s one explore the cozy space. It defines the concept of “inside – out” to offer shaded pockets and gazing areas. The wavy frame structure stands on plinth holding it with brick walls in curve forms. Structure intertwines durability and lightness through proportions of built vs open mass.
Graphics captivate one’s attention through its kaleidoscopic flooring and wall art from mosaics.Vertical fins add to the rhythm of see through screen at equal intervals along with brick wall.
Arrangements of these elements, create dramatic ambience throughout the day. Shadows act an art through circular roof pockets which excite the kids to play around them. Studio’s initiative works as therapy for the users.
The pavilion boasts a low carbon footprint and promotes sustainable building technologies.
Additionally, the pavilion aims to evoke a versatile space that interacts with greenery both within and around the structure. Elements of landscape strike a balance through its tropical sensitive approach seamlessly blending with pavilion. Incorporating green walkways and garden beds on periphery connect each other in free flow. Position of pavilion gives advantage of pleasant views and ensure privacy from around.
This pavilion extends, as delightful celebration of contemporary and functional retreat for its users.
