Working within the confines of wetland regulations, we orchestrated a series of interventions which had the effect of maximizing the space, without maximizing the footprint of this 18th century Connecticut long house. The roof from an earlier rear addition was replaced in order to increase headroom and to fit in a workable bathroom, while on the exterior of the house a pair of new porches run the length of the exterior then eventually peel off the house as they come to an end in the landscape.
