Situated in Geneva’s mutating postindustrial PAV area, this commission for a construction material firm demanded a low-budget transformation of their showroom situated on the first floor as well as a new stairway and elevator for access.
Inspired by the the surrounding warehouse sheds, the project proposes a stacking of boxes containing the staircase and piling up around a central elevator shaft as a new emblematic entrance pavilion.
Materialized in dark perforated undulated Eternit panels, visible concrete and galvanized steel structures, the pavilion showcases parts of the clients products in a simple and abstract manner.
The showroom itself proposes a scenography where the white customer area contrasts with the black back-offices and counters.
