In the context of the search for the identity of this residence located in a classic example of a Greek apartment building of previous decades, a new layout of the spaces was sought on the one hand that stems from modern living needs and on the other a nostalgic mood exuded by the choice of pastel colors on the walls and to the new materials.
The interior layout of the residence has been designed with the users' functional and visual comfort in mind. The proposal also constitutes the shift of the "central weight" of the residence to its middle, that is to the "hearth" as defined in the archetypal model of the first organized houses and later with the housing models in antiquity.
The living room area is airy, while it is visually and functionally connected to the kitchen area. The unifying element of the two spaces is the kitchen island and the metal composition that follows. This composition, in addition to its functional character, also plays the role of a transition element from the living room to the kitchen area.
Throughout the space, simple lines and colored compositions on the walls dominate. The aesthetic gestures that exist in the daycare area continue in the bedroom of the residence.
