The era of 5G networking offers an opportunity to present this technology in a new way, one that is soft, friendly and playful. Our scheme which was developed in response to the competition held by City of Helsinki, proposes a repeated simple spherical form that can be used to create different sculptural elements which will spread throughout the city.
The base station fascia is manufactured out of vacuumed formed recycled white plastic. Aside from its longevity and environmental benefits, this material can be very textured in appearance evoking the appearance of snow or clouds.
