Situated upon the historical grounds of the former Hefei Steel Factory, the Hefei East New Centre is a master plan with 800,000sqm floor area, composed of two distinct components. Firstly, an innovative Central Business District (CBD) takes shape, envisioned to house technological headquarters, office towers, a start-up innovation zone, commercial and communal spaces, sporting facilities, youth amenities, and residential areas. Secondly, an intricate heritage belt unfolds, showcasing the imaginative reutilization of industrial artifacts from the former Hefei Steel Factory, now home to novel functions such as R&D centres, an exhibition hub, expo facilities, a furnace park, research institutes, discovery theatres, and tech outlets.
