The focus of this project was converting a dated 1950’s Ranch into a modern home for a family of five – on a limited budget.
A dated 1950s ranch was converted into a modern home for a family of five. The objective was creating a sunlit open floor plan where the family could gather. With a tight budget and code limitations to adhere to, we maximized the footprint of the house by designing a loft-style great room with a vaulted ceiling and additional windows that allowed plentiful light. The new floor plan organically flows from the entry through the great room to the rear patio, allowing the home to feel much more spacious and family-oriented, and creating a seamless connection to the outdoors.
