Stillwater Medical’s Cardiology department saw an opportunity to meet increasing demand and enhance their patients’ experience with a new Heart and Vascular Institute. REES designed a 32,000-square-foot addition bringing labs, clinics and rehabilitation gym into a centralized location. The addition was built above the existing emergency department. We worked with contractors to implement relocation sequences that limited disruption to the hospital’s functioning operations. Our team wanted the space’s focus to be on patient comfortability. In addition to a tranquil color palette, exam rooms have cardiac recliners instead of traditional patient beds.
