An unused patient floor at Akron City Hospital was renovated to provide modern patient room capabilities for a special patient population. New ADA compliant patient rooms, with natural light and a multi-sensory environment, expanded patient shower and therapy rooms and additional staff facilities significantly expand clinical capabilities.
Lounges with private meeting rooms provide family oriented space with amenities necessary to cope with the stressful circumstances of palliative care.
