The new 'Medical Center Waterland' is located on the Horsterweg in Zeewolde. Under the motto 'St Jansdal brings care close', residents of Zeewolde have been able to visit the new Waterland Medical Center since 2021. The center houses general practitioners, physiotherapy, mental health services, and a pharmacy.
The healthcare center is on a corner of a big block at the beginning of Zeewolde.
The block consists of a front corner facade where the materialization refers to the name of Zeewolde where the forest (wolde) is depicted with a wooden facade. The bottom layer is a dark stone that refers to the water level in height and hue. Gray concrete blocks were then used to symbolize the polder sky. Due to the regionally changing program, the windows are positioned in a fixed pattern. At the head, a large panoramic window looks out towards the harbour. On the entrance side, the block on the left side of the neighbors is closed off with low windows through which you have contact with the outside from the physiotherapy. The back side has a light façade in strokes that matches the tones of the buildings that also border the back side.
