Health Care Center - Vila Nova de Famalicão, Portugal
The
basic idea of my work focuses on the patient as a key element of a
health facility because he is the reason for the existence of such
equipment.
In my opinion the patient is a human being and not "something" that arises in a health equipment to be "the repairs." It is a being in a weakened condition and requires care in accordance with its nature.
Usually this care does not happen, either by overcrowding, poor working conditions or lack of preparation by medical personnel.
I
believe that the "patient" is the key and central part of any health
equipment, it is from, the patient as the central unit that participated
in designing this project.
The
project is structured around this concept, the intention is a health
center airy, spacious, functional, able to escape the traditional idea
that we have a website with this, full of smells from the various drug
treatments and payable, which will take us away the idea that a health center site is a sad and lacking in respect for those in need of proper health care.
This
equipment despite involving parts consisting of sections of a
technological nature, must be read as a whole in which the various
bodies co-exist in functional and harmonious.
The blocks will be joined by either technical or more hits for public access and recreational.
The rooms are made of blocks, which is representing the salient and united, while part of a whole. The
remaining attachments as operating rooms, diagnostic rooms, cafeteria,
enfermero, sanitáriase other facilities, are grouped into bodies
disposed properly, as its function and its role in the health system.
Regarding access, mainly consist of ramps, so that disabled people have better access to health center. The
access ramp to car park is from the front of the equipment, where there
is a mirror of water, which occupies a large part of the proposal. For
this access was possible, was placed in a trough surrounding the access,
which does not allow between water around their entrance, with a drainage thereof. The car runs on water, which descends the ramp, giving the idea of disappearing in the middle of the mirror.
