HB:BX High Bridge Bronx Competition
Type
HB:BX is an international ideas competition to design the Artists Unite centre that actually doesn’t exist and it’s meant to reestablish the bridge’s physical connection between the Manhattan and Bronx community.
The purpose was to bring together all the functions needed into the old bridge and use it as unique component for binding the sides. The two points on the side of the river where the bridge ends, are used as vertical and horizontal connectivity fulcrums as well as to connote where the different functions are distributed on the bridge.
