Located in the Buckman neighborhood of Inner Southeast Portland, this house was originally constructed in 1913, and minor updates were made to the interior in the 1950s. Renovation of the home, as well as a potential planned addition, will occur incrementally to work within the owners’ budget.
The bathroom was remodeled and upgraded, and the exterior was repaired and painted with saturated colors to complement the surrounding garden and the dynamic northwestern sky. The front porch area was extended to provide an eating area with trellis to support vines, providing privacy and shade to the southeast corner of the house during the summer.
