Konzept
Das Typendoppelhaus in der Mainzer Oberstadt wurde saniert und die Grundriss-Struktur weitergedacht, Fensteröffnungen vergrößert und Bauteile dem aktuellen Stand der EnEV angepasst. Das Erdgeschoss wurde als ein Wohnraum konzipiert. Die Stahlkonstruktion teilt den Wohnraum in einzelne Zonen welche durch die Materialitäten abzulesen sind. Bewusst wird hier geziegt was verändert wird. Die Kehlbalken der Dachkonstruktion wurden freigelegt und beleben die Deckenansicht des Schlafzimmers im Dachgeschoss. Der Grundriss wurde an die Bedürfnisse angepasst und koppelt Schlafzimmer, Bad und Ankleide.
