This LEED Silver accredited facility has a design to be 40% more energy efficient than the national energy model for typical arenas, and includes geothermal heating/ cooling, daylighting and natural ventilation, and the utilization of recovered waste heat to warm change rooms, spectator seating and the ice melting pit.
The arenas boast 900 seats, with capability for year-round ice on one pad. Central to the design is the integration of warm viewing areas on both levels with the rinks providing a unique user experience. The arena features 12 change rooms, 4 referee rooms, and community spaces. This projects was designed in collaboration with Prime Consultants rdh Architects of Toronto.
