Harlow – Richie Notar's first solo venture – is a full service restaurant that spotlights Notar’s exceptional hospitality acumen, which has evolved over the past 30 years working with the world’s top tastemakers. From his legendary beginnings at Studio 54 and Morgan’s Hotel Group alongside mentors Steven Rubell and Ian Schrager, to his most recent tenure with Nobu overseeing and opening 19 global locations, Richie has received worldwide acclaim and cultivated immeasurable hospitality experience. Richie’s vision of an alluring and stylish clubhouse was realized by creating a striking interior, with a sultry blue and gray color palette, infusing it with Old Hollywood glamour and sophisticated mischief, and incorporating eye-catching highlights such as:
• A grand marble oyster bar complete with a mirrored back bar that features an exquisite hand-painted aquatic scene;
• A conservatory room flooded with natural light and bordered by an interior wall of cascading ivy, perfect for intimate gatherings over cocktails and private parties;
• Contemporary art installations in the parlor and bar areas, including an original Andy Warhol that guests can appreciate when first entering the restaurant;
• Original stained glass windows and dramatic chandeliers adorn the main dining room, all of which date back to the 1930s when actress Marion Davies used the space for personal entertaining (the building was a gift to her from William Randolph Hearst).
Upon entering Harlow, after passing by an original Andy Warhol, guests arrive in a high-ceiling parlor space with plush club chairs and banquet couches which seats approximately 60. In the center of the parlor room is the large white leather bar which seats 10 for cocktails or dining. Tucked behind the bar is the light-filled conservatory that seats approximately 20 guests, and is studded with plush purple seats facing a long comfortable white leather banquet, which is perfect for one-on-one cocktails, or a private dinner party. The main dining room, which seats 100, creates the perfect mood for guests to relax and enjoy seafood-focused fare inspired by global flavors.
