Harbin Creative Design Center (HDC), located in the beautiful ice city of Harbin, was officially established in December 2022. The center brings together top experts in the field of creative design at home and abroad, and has attracted more than 10 design institutions to settle in. The center not only has a design studio and a design museum, but also has functional Spaces such as IP Innovation FabLab, rural Revitalization Lab and design Gallery.
Inspired by the 15 creative design agencies housed in the Design Center, the interior structure and movement lines are subtly reshaped by stacking, rotating and reorganizing the letter "D" at different angles.
The overall interior is dominated by light-colored materials, such as white terrazzo and paint, which have high reflectivity properties. The space is staggered and overlapping, forming a unique light and shadow effect, making people feel infinite reverie between the D symbol and the staggered space box.
The lighting design cleverly highlights the characteristics of the D symbol in the space, combined with the needs of different periods of use, the use of natural lighting, light boxes and indirect lighting and other ways to create an ethereal and spiritual experience space.
The design concept of this case aims to fill the entire space with light, especially emphasizing the ray projection trend of symbols from the inside out, so that the light presents the natural silhouette effect of letters, and enhances the visual impact of the irregular shape in the space. The intention is to fill the space with light, and it specially emphasizes the tendency of the symbols to diverge light from the inside to the outside, so that the light forms the natural silhouette effect of the letters, and strengthens the impact of the shaped shapes in the space.
In the low meeting space, we combine the interior design language and adopt the techniques of lamp film to make the design elements constantly change and continue in the space.
The overall lighting focus is mainly focused on the top, so that people feel an upward force when they look up. This design not only enhances the vertical hierarchy of the space, but also provides visitors with a unique visual experience.
At the same time, in the lower middle and practical scenarios, HDC also fully considers the needs of key lighting and visual contrast. According to the different soft furnishings, more concealed and diversified lighting methods are used to shape the overall sense of form. This design makes the whole space appear more complete and unified. Outside the building, due to construction constraints, we did not change the overall facade lighting, only highlighting the form and entrance of the "D" symbol. The section of the form is highlighted by hose light strips, while the glass brick masonry arch at the entrance is illuminated by the dual lighting mode of the buried LED line lights and lamp strips to ensure sufficient lighting level and visual appeal.
