We have just completed a rear extension in St John's Wood. The original town house needed a main family room and as the house is quite narrow, we decided to extend out to the side as well to the rear. This created so much more space and now the family have a really useful room, check out the Scalextric set!
Incorporating full width glazing to the rear facade along with two large roof lights really helped to bring as much light as possible deep into the middle of the house. The existing hinged doors to the hallway were replaced with sliding doors, this de-cluttered the space and provided a clear flow at the centre of the house. Natural light materials were used which gives a really fresh feeling into the property without it looking too pretentious.

"Chris worked closely with us and explained everything really clearly until we were completely happy. They came up with an innovative scheme with ideas we had never thought of that really changed the way we use the space. Chris' attention to detail and professional, calm manner made him a pleasure to work with. Chris was responsible for overturning difficult planning odds to get our plans approved. We are truly delighted with the proposals and have no hesitation in recommending Chris and his team at Locksley Architects" - Private Client
