The Hanseatic City of Hamburg is expanding its downtown area with
HafenCity by opening it towards the port’s water. The heart of Europe’s
largest urban development project is the Überseequartier (“Overseas
Quarter”). The future city center impresses with its variety: select
retail stores, attractive restaurants, reliable services, and exciting
cultural events. 16 new buildings will offer tenants and users new
possibilities in a completely newly developed area of the city. A
cruiseship terminal, the largest underground parking garage in Hamburg
and excellent connection to public transport guarantee that the area is
easily accessible by both land and water. One of this buildings is the hybrid block "Virginia". It contains residential, a 171 room design hotel , retail area and roof garden.
