A mechanical hall for biotechnologyOne of Alstom's industrial hall is now the seat of advances biotechnological research. this project fits into the traditional classification of what we called "building-tolls". The architectural work focuses on changes in ambiance and in the quality of the lighting within the central space, a common area dedicated to informal encounters, and in the laboratories, where the surroundings are controlled and protected. The architectural change to the building exterior is minimal, leaving it unrefined wherever possible. Only the gables' technical clips denote its renewed activity by associating the galvanised metal with the translucent walls. In a passing reference to "biotechnical art", and in collaboration with Pierre Giner, the interior of the central nace pulsates with live video screens, doting this small cathedral-like space with a sens of movement
