"Helachin" narrates a poetic symbiosis between humanity and nature. Two hands embracing a swing symbolize harmony and resilience, shaping a structure where life and the environment intertwine.
Nestled in the lush slopes of northern Iran, "Helachin" emerges as a seed planted in the earth, blending architecture and nature into a singular existence. Its design, inspired by open hands cradling a swing, reflects balance between human presence and the natural world. The roof, reminiscent of tree canopies, provides shade and a tranquil sanctuary beneath its shelter.
The building’s terraced form follows the land's topography, creating a fluid connection with its surroundings. The terraces, akin to outstretched palms, invite users to sit and absorb breathtaking views of mountains and forests. Each perspective, shaped by the building's cascading layers, offers a unique narrative of the landscape.
At its core lies the swing, "Helachin," named after a northern Iranian term meaning "swing." It serves as a metaphor for steadiness and tranquility while embodying the playful spirit of the design. Suspended above the pool and facing the mountains, the swing offers an unparalleled sense of floating amidst nature.
The proximity of the pool to living spaces enhances the sensory experience, with reflections of the mountains on water merging the interior and exterior. Subtle shifts in the roof’s layers create apertures that play with light and shadow, enriching the spatial experience and reinforcing the connection to nature.
In "Helachin," the user becomes a traveler immersed in nature's embrace. The gentle sway of the swing, the glimmer of sunlight on water, and the symphony of surrounding wildlife transform this villa into more than a home—it is a realm where earth and sky converge.
