Programmed into approximately 75,000-square-feet of ground up construction and over five levels, the space will offer a number of experiences including Hakkasan’s signature restaurant and lounge, as well as a new tri-level nightclub component, signifying an evolution of the prestigious brand that is unique to its Las Vegas location.
The two venues will embody the design philosophy of Hakkasan, built on the design foundations of the luxurious interior at its flagship London location. Hakkasan Las Vegas will capture the distinctive modern chinoiserie with rich interiors, epitomizing a cool charm that translates into a luxurious and contemporary environment.
The main arena is composed of an overhead canopy inspired by the geometric art of Sol Lewitt and has been activated with a complex matrix of programmable lighting that was inspired by the works of James Turrell and Dan Flavin, instantly activating the room into a high energy nightclub.
The roof pavilion is represented as an oversized grasshopper cage that is programmed either separately or in sync with the main arena. Surrounded by an overhead garden, the pavilion offers a portal into kung fu noir.
The lower level Ling Ling Club is developed off of the Hakkasan DNA, taking cues from the dining cage elements, the space comes to life as a voyeuristic viewport into a private experience influenced by the films of Stanley Kubrick.
The Ling Ling Lounge offers a subdued experience with a maze of cnc'd marble screens and passages. The room is the fourth offering in the nightclub space that takes a more cinematic approach. Reminiscent of Wong Kar-Wai's film noir, the space offers a lounge experience with atmospheric sounds and complex cocktails.
The venue is the first of its kind in the Las Vegas landscape that offers a unique dining, lounge, and nightclub experience composed into a vertical maze of large scale proportion while keeping the sense of intimacy, warmth, and mystery which is the basis of Hakkasan.
