This newly constructed hair salon, Kyurasu, was architecturally designed and built for a client who is an experienced hairdresser. One of the client’s requirements was to design a salon where all locals, especially mothers with children, feel comfortable and at home during their hair appointments.
The exterior facade is eye-catching due to the use of horizontal natural timbers and wide glass windows. Furthermore, the use of natural textures such as timber helps create a sense of warmth.
The client also insisted on painting the interior walls and this has given the building its own character. Kyurasu customers can enjoy a state of the art greenhouse feature during their appointments. This miniature greenhouse helps the customers to relax and unwind, and also creates a great focal point for the interior of the building.
