At Openbox Architects, we see Luxe Island in Haikou as an extraordinary opportunity to transform a blank canvas into a masterpiece of modern living. Collaborating with Wide Horizon, we embraced the challenge of designing a vibrant, sustainable community that integrates seamlessly with its natural surroundings.
Inspired by our signature “bird nest” concept, Luxe Island reimagines dwellings as sleek, geometric forms that harmonize with the landscape. The design balances bold, contemporary aesthetics with organic principles, creating spaces that are visually striking yet deeply connected to nature.
Material selection prioritized sustainability, durability, and user experience. By combining advanced materials like aluminum and glass with natural textures and tones, we ensured practicality, low maintenance, and environmental responsibility.
Each villa offers a journey of spatial experiences, blending intimate, cozy corners with expansive vistas and communal areas. This dynamic design keeps residents engaged and connected to their surroundings, fostering a sense of wellbeing.
Our collaboration with Wide Horizon was instrumental, with both teams sharing a passion for innovation and quality. Together, we created a design that reflects our commitment to merging architecture and landscape into a unified vision.
