The concept for the Hafez Residential Complex took shape through an initial process of testing various massing configurations on the site to achieve the density required by the client. By then considering key residential criteria; such as optimal views, preventing visual intrusion between units, and maximizing the distance between blocks. We concluded that the most ideal outcome would occur when the blocks were positioned along the outermost edges of the site.
Accordingly, after introducing a continuous vehicular loop around the complex, the blocks were arranged in a connected sequence along the perimeter. This strategy created a central landscape of approximately 3.5 hectares at the heart of the development. Given the lack of desirable external views, this large internal courtyard significantly enhances the visual quality of the residential units.
The commercial spaces placed at the center of this green area serve as an organizing element that connects the residential blocks and keeps the core of the complex active and lively. In response to the existing urban fabric surrounding the site, the placement of wellness paths and sports grounds within this inner zone provides residents with a secure, easily supervised environment.
