The scene scenaryof these reflections is located in
downtown Sao Paulo, Brazil, in an area currently now degraded, but packed full with
memory and infrastructure, the Ladeira da Memria. The Center plays an
essential role as a reference and identity of residents, in addition to better
infrastructure and accessibility of the city. The variety of activities and
tolerance for diversity reinforce the unique character of the Centre in
relation to the latest subcenters.
The proposed proposal works with a diversity of housing units in which
aims to meet this cosmopolitan center, which combines various cultures and
ethnicities. The very peculiarity of deployment such as visual, materiality,
sound conditions, flows, sunshine, accesses, the locus implies a space that
highlights the city life. Thus, the intention is to generate a building that
has its own identity from their specific urban condition, becoming a fragment
of a larger spatial whole.
Reflect
on the role of contemporary dwelling and its intrinsic relationship to the urbs
is one of the primary factors that influence this work. The technological
development, especially the means of information exchange, bring a major change
in the daily life of all and reflect the understanding of appropriation of
space. A society with constant flow of information and culture, connected
globally, palliative changes its mode of production and, consequently, their
way of living. In consequence of these assumptions, this paper considers the
city in a growing process of seeking connections and enhance the virtue of our
time, a city more inclusive than exclusive.
