Five different compartments of the apartment were joined into one single space. The aim was to gather a larger social surface by linking the office, the dining room, two living rooms and the hall. Each environment is limited by a structure that organizes the functions in a flexibel manner. These are fixed to the floor and allow transparency between spaces through the geometric composition. The flexibility of the entire space is enhanced by the intimacy of each area thus creating a contemporary environment.The structures provide a feeling of 'work in progress' by its expressive character, enhanced by the combination of contrasting materials, the sharp stainless steel and the poured white concrete. Plus they enrich the changing transparencies, light and textures.The house and office are now operating units, where the couple can work and live in an environment where technological progress can coëxist with primitive materials and products of industrial design.
