The H_34 apartment block was awarded in the 8th Greek Architecture Biennale. It is located on a 700m² plot in the Voula area, 80m from the sea.
The architecture of the block is inspired by Japanese traditional architecture, from elements such as the ‘’pagoda’’, as well as the traditional Japanese ponds and vegetation. It presents itself as a series of stacked, planar surfaces with vertices, jutting out in all directions. This configuration also references contemporary ideas posed by Le Corbusier’s Domino House.
Each level is supported by a minimal number of slender columns around its perimeter, allowing for the implementation of an open floor plan. This layout gave us the freedom to organize the interior, without any obstacles or limitations. The apartment block resembles an abstract contemporary sculpture.
The apartments have an A+ ENERGY CLASS rating, achieved through the use of bioclimatic concepts and eco-technologies such as geothermal heating, solar panels, and rainwater collection systems aimed at energy conservation.
