This restaurant facade adheres to the strict neighborhood requirements mandating the use of brick and 50% glazing on the street face. The design challenges the typical use of lower level brick with upper level windows by redistributing of the openings as a gradient pattern across the entire two story facade. The result is a varied degree of transparency and more intimate and individualized views between the occupant and the passer by on the street.
All facets of the layered facade system are parametrically linked such that any variation of openings, sizes of bricks, door placement and associated structure for window openings maintain a similar set of relational values.
