Every place has it's own "Genius Loci" or the protective spirit of nature that makes a home. It is an opportunity for the designers to rethink ways of creating spaces where walls will only serve as segmentors to a room with landscape, creating their own form of nature- a concept of a paper house.
The house is nestled on the outskirts of Alfonso,Cavite, surrounded by trees and lushy greenery along the roads. Functioning as a haven for a humble family, it was designed based on their orientation creating an optimal comfort and privacy.
This 278sqm. house is designed for a humble family as their permanent home in the Philippines. The plan is comprised of detached bedrooms and an open plan design for the general areas separated by a pool. Humble materials such as concretes, natural stones, and woods are dominantly present on the exterior and interior of the house - to signify its openess to the nature.
