From being a country which was greatly influenced by spanish and american colonizers, the house was designed in line with different roots. The challenge for the designers is to create another design discipline by fusing two diverse architectural styles- classic and modern. By deeply understanding the concepts and boundaries of each style, a design paradigm was created.
The plan was created from the concept of creating ordinary forms into its envelope. Thus, the "H" plan was derived. The floor plate is comprise of two major wings ; the left and right wings. These spectrum of the house contains the major areas that were sorted based on their privacies
The interior takes the concept of "Portmanteau" which in linguistic means a word blending the sounds and combining the meanings of two others. Fusing two major styles of design in the interiors inspired the designers to take this concept.
The “Port” symbolizes a passage for relieving, this also serves as a transition area from outer environment to a private element and embark yourselves to a new experience. It is represented by the pavilion and rotonda in front of the main house. The “Man” signifies the upbringing of the family that revolves around public service and businesses.
