Gushmer House is a project located in Guayaquil, Ecuador. It is a two-floor structure with an independent studio in the backyard. Since the project was meant not to be bigger than 300 square meters including the studio and garage, I used high ceilings in the living room to create a sensation of amplitude. The staircase, affixed to the volume that contains the guest's bathroom, is the heart of the house. It has visual access to most of the spaces in the house and the backyard. The facades are geometrical, and the contrast of materials and volume projections provide texture.
