The extension of the elementary school 'Am Reesenbüttel' acts as a link between the individual buildings of the estate. Due to its position on the school grounds, the main building, cafeteria and the large sports hall are connected to each other. The two former and the new building also through a newly created, spacious canopy. Now, the school grounds are divided by the extension into differentiated outdoor spaces with different qualities. The two-storey structure of the building and the jumping of the building masses creates a small scale, which is appropriate for the neighboring buildings. The roof shape also follows this idea and, in its formulation, creates a reminiscence of the gable roofs of the surroundings.
