The
project involves the construction of a new building in Grumello del
Monte (BG).
The
building is composed of two distinct but joyned formally by the same
compositional design. The main living unit has two floors above
ground, while the secondary is a single storey.
The
original reference is to the Lombard farmhouse: large porch facing
south, north front with small openings.
The
Stone of Credaro (local stones) is the main material used in the
building architecture.
The
porch onto which the rooms of the ground and the first floor look
out, leads to a giant order.
For
an edifice, whose volume is smooth and well-defined, approaches a
second small volume in which are situated the entrance area and
service rooms of the two floors. Part of it is dug to define an
exclusive terrace for the master bedroom.
The
combination of an additional volume to the previous ones defines the
dependance (annex). Also the volume of this presents a hut section
but the outer coating changes being in metallic foils type "tecu".
In
the main volume on the ground floor are distributed the living area
that consists of a kitchen and living room, and a bedroom with
bathroom.
In
the intermidiate volume the entrance area provides an office, utility
rooms and a stairway to the underground floor.
The
dependance has kitchen, living room, bedrooms and bathroom on the
ground floor and an independent staircase leads to the underground
floor.
