Collaborating closely with Google’s REWS (Real Estate, Workplace and Services) team, EC3 developed a flexible and versatile design strategy as a kit-of-part of “glass-tubes” and adaptable “pedestals” that can be deployed along the Green Loop’s high-traffic route and beyond to the rest of the rapidly growing 120-acres campus.
Integrated with state-of-the-art interactive technology, these 12-ft tall display elements are designed to accommodate a range of digital platforms and programs, from wayfinding to storytelling. Part active, part passive, they can be configured to host community events or simply provide respite for the individual visitor. Both casual and immersive, and embodying the values and forward-looking vision of Google’s culture, the Green Loop redefines a new type of public space that encourages a variety of curated itineraries for all visitors and Googlers alike.
