Green carpet for Tajrish
Tajrish bus terminal is located on the southern corner of Tajrish sq. (at the northern end of Vali Asr st. one of the most crowded areas of Tehran) and it is adjacent to two bold elemnts in that area, “Imamzade Saleh (a sacred place for Muslims)” and Traditional “Bazaar of Tajrish”.
Terminal has four lines heading to: Raah Ahan sq, Second phase of Ghaem Shahr, Jamaraan and Darabaad.
Existing terminal has lots of problems such as:
- Busses conjunction caused by lack of fixed paths for drivers.
- Travellers entanglement caused by lack of landmarks.
- The pathways are so close to the entrance of the sepulchre which caused visual and noise pollution.
- Unavailability of essential facilities such as resting places for drivers, line controller budgets, carwash and …
Suggested design is based on sustainable architecture, as shown in “Forming diagram”, and it benefits from topography of the site, in a way that the top surface of the terminal is as high as the eastern pavement of the square and the servicing area of the terminal is beneath that surface so to avoid building a long wall of busses queue and disruption of skylines.
Services place series for passengers like : Lobby , W.C , Self , Coffee shop , Commercial places , Medical urgency room , Ticket rugs budget , ATM , etc
In final part of services series place for drivers like: rest place for drivers, general salon, temporary bedroom, official room, lines controllers, self, pantry service and W.C for drivers.
Bazzar of Tajrish
Tajrish bazaar, one of the oldest Shemiran shopping centers adjacent to Imamzade and Tajrish sq, had saved its traditional look.
plane tree of Imamzadeh Saleh
Imamzadeh Saleh plain tree was the oldest plane tree ever seen, with 15m thickness. This plane tree even amazed foreigners. Each branche of this tree was like an old tree and shaded over the mosque and Muslims used to pray in its shade and people believe that Saleh, heir of Imam Musa, was martyred in its shadow. By unknown reasons the tree had died years ago. The Memorial of that old tree is placed on the Green roof near the Original place of it.
A path to river
“Tajrish river” which is also called “Darband river” is one of the most important of Tehran. Tehran was found around this river. Passengers can rich the river by the designed bridge.
